Red Fort Museum

A tribute to the freedom fighters of India this design concept was proposed in existing barracks inside Red Fort (New Delhi) which were constructed long back in the era of Britishers. Since we were working on a history filled with numerous sacrifices and allocated space was tight we decided to incorporate multiple digital kiosks to cover most of our known history. Spaces were conceptualised to create interactive displays and physical installations showing the journey of martyrs in different time zones of Indian freedom struggle.

The entry area has a light and sound installation based on the concept of Indian ‘Alas’ and ‘diyas’. While entering each hall represents an era which showcase main incident of around the same time. The journey of the visitors ends at an Indian flag hoisted  with news paper clips of the golden day 15 August 1947 surrounding it.
