Bihar Exhibition 2014

The pavilion highlights the spirit of ‘Women Entrepreneurs’ from the state of Bihar. All components designed in the pavilion, from the ‘Madhubani jaali’ to main theme hall, all tell the stories of success, achievements and creativity of these hardworking women. The facade for the pavilion is designed using a modular unit while keeping this minimal, influence from the local art of ‘Madhubani’ paintings are distinctly visible in the abstract ‘Jali’. This ‘Madhubani Jali’ depicts female figures doing their daily chores, in their cultural settings and the screen peels off at one corner to reveal the women of today’s Bihar.
