IHGF 2019 AUTUMN

Indian handicrafts have a huge market in the western world and IHGF is most awaited event around the world.  The theme was inspired from the need of the hour action needed to reduce the human impact on nature which is resulting in global warming, pollution and endangering other life forms. We highlighted nature’s five elements earth, water, air, fire and space further picking one symbol for each as basis of our design ideas.  For example to represent water the most effected creature and biggest animal of planet earth we picked Whale to became a symbolic representation of ocean pollution. These larger than life scale and extremely detailed installations were in fact handcrafted using 30 different types of non biodegradable municipal and industrial waste. This project exhibited a huge potential showcasing how digital technology like LED screens and projection mapping married with multiple possibilities of sustainable design.
